This event will take place on a Wednesday evening offering a unique mid-week racing experience. Post-race there will be a barbecue with music and picnic foods, so the family can enjoy the evening.
Centennial Quarry is the starting point for this event, and the Centennial Terrace folks are waiting to host the festivities.
Triathlon — Triathlon → 400 yards swim, 11 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
The triathlon consists of a 400 yard swim in Centennial Quarry, an 11 mile bike ride on the flat and fast rural roads surrounding the area, and a 5K/3.1 mile run completely on the scenic Quarry Ridge Trail.
This will be a fun, low-key, picnic style, family event.
Duathlon — Duathlon → 1 mile run, 11 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
The Duathlon will follow the same course as the Triathlon. The only difference is that the first run will be 1 mile on the scenic Quarry Ridge Trail.
The finish will bring you right into the transition area, and then the party begins.
Everyone Will Get a Finisher's Medal
The course is very spectator friendly, and once the race finishes athletes, plus friends, families and spectators are invited to the post-race party; with great food, beer, music and awards ceremony for the top finishers.
