Enjoy running in the spring air? Like to chat with engineers? You are an engineer AND love to run? Then the Building Bridges 5K is for you! Engineers Without Borders is hosting the 5K on April 12 at the University of Toledo.
The funds raised for this event will go towards EWB’s ongoing bridge project in Los Sanchez, Honduras. Los Sanchez is a rural community of about 200 to 250 people that has been partnered with EWB-UToledo since 2008. During their rainy season, they are unable to reach the main town of Orocuina. The bridge EWB is designing will allow the people of Los Sanchez to access the health clinic, school, and markets located there. No matter the season, the community will have the ability to reach these necessities. We’d love your help in raising funds for this exciting mission!
It's a great time to have some fun and support your local EWB chapter! Food and drinks will be provided after the race, as well as, a prize for each first, second, and third place man and woman in each age group. The race will begin in the flatlands of the campus. Registration opens at 8am.
