Description
Join us this National Nurses Week for the Celebrate Nurses Fun Run at Prairie Oak Metro Park! Whether you’re a nurse, know someone who is a nurse, just want to join in on the celebration, this fun run will be like no other you’ve attended!
Hosted by the Ohio Nurses Foundation, not only will we be celebrating the nursing profession, but we’ll be singing Happy Birthday to the mother of nursing, Florence Nightingale, in honor of her 200th birthday! A real-life Flo will even be partaking in the fun run as she leads a Take it Slow with Flo walk. Flo will be taking photos with attendees after the race as volunteers serve traditional post-race food and Flo’s birthday cake! Registrants will also receive a nursing scrub-themed t-shirt.
Proceeds of the fun run will benefit the nursing scholarships, research grants and research on moral injury through the Ohio Nurses Foundation.
