Description
Join us for a Fun run and walk to help us raise money for a seizure alert service dog for Joey. Joey is an 11-year old boy from Westerville, Ohio. He has autism and epilepsy. His seizures are not being controlled by his medication. As many know, seizures come on at any time. Joey needs supervision 100% of his day due to his risk of seizing, falling during a seizure, choking or losing a clear airway during a seizure, and monitoring the seizure duration. Some days he has multiple seizures.
A service dog from 4 Paws for Ability could be a lifeline for Joey. Not only will the dog notify us when Joey is having a seizure, or even be able to detect an oncoming seizure, but the dog will be a comforting companion for Joey’s anxiety and other challenges from autism. Please help us reach the amount needed so Joey can meet his future lifeline. We have pledged to raise $15,000 dollars for 4 Paws for Ability to be used by the agency to further its mission. In return, 4 Paws is making a commitment to place a quality trained dog, picked and trained specifically to meet Joey’s needs.
Come on out and walk or run around the Westerville South track as many time as you like to help show support! There will also be many other fun events taking place at the stadium during the run including raffles, vendors, a corn hole tournament and much more! This is a family fun event!
