5K Run/Walk

11:00AM EST - 1:00PM EST

Description

The Miracle on Erie Street 5K Run and Walk will once again kick off Willoughby, Ohio’s Christmas holiday weekend thanks to The Erie Street Miracles, a family run charitable organization that spreads Christmas cheer by making hundreds of Christmases possible for those in need.
The annual tradition of a Christmas themed 5k in Downtown Willoughby started in 2015 with the Reindeer Run and about 100 hearty runners. Over the years it grew and eventually transitioned to become The Miracle on Erie Street 5k. The number of festively dressed participants grew close to 500 until the COVID-19 pandemic shut it down in 2020.
The race starts and ends in Downtown Willoughby, freshly decorated from the Holiday Tree Lighting ceremony which kicks off the festive weekend. The mostly flat course winds through some of Willoughby's oldest neighborhoods.  Each participant is then welcome to stay in DTW for celebratory drinks on us; with each runner receiving two drink tickets to use in the many bars and restaurants.
The return of The Miracle on Erie Street is graciously supported by a host of sponsors (listed below) without them, our local supporters and volunteers this race, and the whole weekend could not be a success.
