Solomon 5 "Kay" Run/Walk

The Solomon 5"Kay" Run/Walk will be hosted in honor of Mrs. Kay Nickelsen who will be retiring in 2014 after teaching at Solomon for the past 37 years.  The race will embody some of the values she has shared with her students including living a healthy lifestyle and protecting the environment.  Solomon kindergarten alumni will recognize some of our post-race snacks including “bow-knots” and “ants on a log.” Participants will be encouraged to carpool, walk or bicycle to the event and bring their own reusable water bottles.  Food waste will be composted and all other materials recycled.  Overall and age group medallions are made by local artist, Jessica Cable.
