Dam Zombies (Arcadia Lake)

Update 11/19/2023 - by popular demand, I am re-opening registration despite reaching the 100 participant limit. What does this mean? Any registrations beyond 100 will not receive a custom zombie bib/number plate - they will receive a generic number plate. Registrant 101 and up will still get a finisher trophy, if they race in zombie costume, they will get free food at the end, etc. Just know, they/you will not get a zombie number plate - with that said, please register today!

First ever 'endurance' mountain bike race at Arcadia Lake Dam Trails - Dam Zombies! We've selected a moderate 6-mile course that is fun and interesting, but not technically intimidating. I'm confident it will turn a few of you into zombies by the end of the day. 

There are 4 race options:

1) Solo 3 hour (1:00pm start time)

2) Solo 6 hour (10:00am start time)

3) Team (two-person) 6 hour (10:00am start time) - each team member must register

4) E-bike Solo 3 Hour (1:00pm start time)

5) Youth Endurance 30 Minute - 6-16 years of age (9:00 start time). We will group kids appropriately by age once we see how many register. 

Race as many laps as you can before time runs out - or before you turn into a zombie. The finisher with the most laps wins in each category (podiums for women, men and co-ed). Tied for laps? Winner will be the quickest time for their final full lap. Two-person team rules: Only one team member riding on the course at a time. Team members can ride for as many laps as they would like before passing the baton. The baton can only be passes at the lap finish line to transition to the other team member. Each team member must complete at least one lap to qualify as a team finisher. All racers can take breaks, rest, or do maintenance, but the clock keeps ticking. Racers may switch bikes during the race if desired or needed by moving their number plate to the other bike, but the racer and number plate must remain the same for the duration of the race. Finisher and 1-3 placement trophies, mens, womens, and co-ed - no age groups.

BONUS - Zombie Theme! Race in Zombie costume - put on something tattered and torn, add some face paint, and get a free burger, chips and a drink after the race.  Highly encouraging everyone to participate in the theme - this is what will make this epic fun!  Group Pictures before and after the races. Let's make this fun and memorable.

Location: Approximately 1 mile south of Route 66 on S Post Road, enter the park at the Edmond Water Tower. The address listed is approximate, so it may not register in your GPS. Use this address 801 S Post Road, Jones, OK 73007 to get to the water tower. Drive past the bollards and follow the paved road down to the base of the dam. If you are looking at an ariel map, it is the large grass field just East of the Dam.  

Inclement Weather Clause: Should the race day experience weather not conducive to a 6-hour race, causing either safety concerns or would cause significant damage to the trail or staging area, the race will be postponed to Dec 3, 2023.
