Description

Welcome to the Liberty Sprint 5K kicking off Edmond's LibertyFest, the largest 4th of July celebration in Oklahoma!

Join us at Mitch Park on Sunday June 30th at 8:00 am for a 5K Run/Walk or a 1 Mile Fun Run!

The event is great for the whole family from strollers to grandparents, and dog friendly for well-socialized pups on a leash. We do ask that any participants with dogs be prepared with a "pick up" bag to attend to any unscheduled potty breaks on the course. We want to leave the park spotless so we need everyone to do their part!

For additional fun, participate in our costume contest! We'll have a special prize for the most amazing get up.

The event will support the Edmond Veterans Memorial Advisory Committee and their mission to create the Edmond Veterans Memorial at Bickham-Rudkin Park.

Edmond Veteran's Memorial Project

On December 10, 2019, the Edmond City Council authorized the creation of the Veterans Memorial Advisory Committee (VMAC) for the purpose of making recommendations for the development of a veterans memorial in the City of Edmond.  The Memorial will be located at the northern end of Bickham-Rudkin Park and will potentially include a flag plaza, memorial sculpture, and other landscaping features such as walking trails and an events plaza. Central to the memorial’s concept will be plaques and tributes recognizing Edmond residents who have served our nation. As part of its ongoing work, the VMAC will develop plans, collect veterans’ stories, and solicit inputs from Edmond residents on appropriate displays and recognition. Please VISIT OUR PAGE to learn more and be part of the mission.

Great Specials, Drawings, and Prizes from our Vendor Partners

Thanks so much to all of the vendors contributing items to the event!

You'll be able to visit several of them at our vendor village at the event. All runners will be eligible to win in a drawing for a $100 gift card from BC Clark Jewelers. Kendra Scott will also be on site with an exciting offer for participants. We'll have great prizes, food, and beverage from Red Coyote, Edmond Trophy, Old School Bagel Cafe, and Starbucks Coffee. Please thank ALL of the wonderful sponsors helping make this event possible and don't miss out on the fun!
