Mayes County Tails and Tiaras 5k & Fun Run

Please join us on September 21, 2024 at the Mayes County Fairgrounds for the 1st Annual Mayes County Tails and Tiaras 5k & Fun Run.  This event was envisioned by Emma Ortiz after winning the essay contest for Patriot Auto of Pryor while competing in the annual Miss Mayes County Pageant.  The essay was about creating this organization and using a 5k run to raise money that would go towards animal welfare.  Keeping in line with Emma's vision, all proceeds from this race will go back into the Mayes County Animal Rescues and Shelters, such as Rockin “G” Animal Shelter, Chouteau Pound Pals, Mayes County Pet Food Pantry at Kingdom Kloset and Saving Whiskers And Tails! 

Patriot Auto of Pryor will be present at race with truck beds set up for accepting donations such as dog and cat food, blankets, toys, towels, litter, food bowls, litter boxes, grooming supplies, and more.  There will be a raffle at the event for all participants who bring an animal care item as a donation.  For more information about participation in this event, or becoming an event sponsor, reach out to Christy Ortiz at Christysortiz@yahoo.com.

Start Time:  Fun Run @ 8:00, 5k @ 8:30 

Packet Pickup & Registration: Opens at 7:00 am 

Cost:     

- Early Bird Registration is $20 for the Fun Run and $25 for the 5k (through July 15th)

- Early Registration is $25 for the Fun Run and $30 for the 5k (July 16 to Sept 14)

- Week of Race and in person registration is $30 for Fun Run, $35 for the 5k (Sept 15 to 21)

T-shirts: Guarenteed for all runners that sign up by September 5th. First Come First Serve for registrations after September 5th.

- Awards: Trophies to the top 3 overall male and female runners and medals awarded to the top 3 in every 10 year age groups. 

- Race Timing provided by I:40 Race Service
