WHAT ARE WE RAISING MONEY FOR?

Most of us take transportation for granted. Even if we don’t have a car, we can call Uber or ride the bus.

Animals can’t do that. They rely on us.

The same is true for rescue animals. They not only rely on rehabilitation organizations like us to feed and keep them safe, but they also often need to be taken quickly to a veterinarian. For that, we need reliable transportation.

Let us tell you a story:

Eleanor was a little kitty from a tragic past. She came to us homeless and hungry with no one to love and care for her. Fearful from living on the streets, she wouldn't trust anyone.

After several months, we gained her trust through lots of food and careful and kind interactions. Thankfully, we were finally able to coax her inside a carrier and get her to our rescue.

But Eleanor developed a persistent fever and stopped eating. She needed to see a doctor quickly. And just like any sick family member, we immediately transported her to our affiliated veterinary clinic, where they placed her in intensive care and hooked her up to an IV to stabilize her.

Without transportation, we wouldn’t have been able to get Eleanor the lifesaving care she needed.

We’re happy to report that Eleanor made a full recovery and was adopted by her new mama, Shelly, into her forever home. Shelly said, “This is a match made in heaven. I couldn’t go another night without a furry companion. She has changed my life around.”

How can you help?

We never know when the next animal will need an emergency medical care. To provide immediate and reliable transportation, we are raising money for a minivan to get animals safely to and from the vet.

This is where Grace Animal Rehabilitation Center needs your help. Our goal is to raise between $6,000 - $7,000 to purchase a used minivan. Even a small gift will make a difference.

Won’t you lend a hand?

Join us for our Virtual 5K Run to give homeless dogs and cats a voice and raise the needed funds to purchase a vehicle so we can make sure that our ‘family’ members get the care they need, when they need it.

Our 5K run is a virtual event. Everyone will get a finisher medal and a shirt with the logo.

You can run anytime between Oct 13 - Nov 14 and submit your score. After the event closes, we will have a virtual meet and greet, along with a ceremony announcing the winners. The date is to be announced.

Remember! You would do whatever it took to arrange transportation for a family member to get the medical care they needed. Please help us do the same for our rescue family.

Thank you!
