Ever wonder what it would be like to run (or walk) an ultramarathon? You don't have to be fast to complete your first 50K. This virtual challenge is for anyone who wants to ease into a consistent practice of running or walking daily by completing one mile a day for 31 days. Why 31 days? Because 31 miles equals 50 kilometers, a 50K, which is an ultramarathon!
How does it work? Start any day or choose to start on the first day of a 31-day month, it's up to you! Walk or run one mile each day for 31 days and you have your 50K!
Where do you complete your miles? Wherever you want! (Safely, of course!) Walk or run on a treadmill, a track, around your neighborhood, in a park, or even to one of those videos that lets you walk in place at home. Every step counts! Walk or run the same course every day or mix it up and explore different places.
What do you get for completing your miles? You get a custom medal commemorating your 50K finish!
What happens if you miss a day? It's okay. Nobody's perfect. Either walk or run two miles the next day or just extend your 31 days an extra day.
