A walk with your loved one

This fundraiser is to raise awareness and donations for Cancer (all proceeds will go towards the Canadian Cancer Society).

Cancer is something that touches everyone's lives and with the current COVID-19 Pandemic, it has been challenging to get together. With that being said, I hope this virtual event can help people feel more connected and supported by their family and friends, as well as promote some healthy physical activity. 

This event will be open from June 01/21 until June 30/21. 

For anyone who knew my parents, they went for a walk (rain, snow, or shine) every evening. My brother and I use to dread being dragged on these walks when we were younger, which sounds silly to me now because those have become great memories and something that I wish I could do again. So, it's been nice to partake in events such as this, but for now we will have to be flexible and do it virtually. 

I challenge you to get active, may it be by walking, running, biking, swimming, gardening, etc. Whatever your activity of choice may be that makes you feel good, happy.

I hope you know that person, whoever it may be, is with you constantly, and wants you to be happy and healthy. However, it's okay to be sad and ask for support from those around you.

Hopefully, one day, we can see less of a burden from this disease.
