Race The Wave

Does your family have an emergency plan? Do you know the tsunami evacuation route in your area? When a tsunami strikes, can you outrace the wave? Now in its second year, the Race the Wave is a 5K and 10K tsunami preparedness fun run and walk. Runners start along the beach, follow a scenic tsunami evacuation route through the city, and end out of the tsunami inundation zone. A one -mile free preparedness walk/roll offers another chance to practice the evacuation route. The post-race free preparedness fair features grilled hot dogs, preparedness games and giveaways, a photo booth and more.
