Description
Join the Heart of the Valley Runners this Fall in an exciting virtual relay race!
During the pandemic, we're all missing those wonderful team relay races and the HOTV Virtual Relay is here to fill the gaping wound in your running (or walking) soul. Gather 11 of your closest friends and family in the Willamette Valley for a relay race experience you'll never forget. Create an unforgettable team name. Assign runners to the legs. Decorate your van (wait, not that last one. No vans.)
About the Race Registration
- The first person to register the team sets up the team and pays the entry fee for the entire team. Then other team members can join the team.
- Don't have a team? No problem. Sign up as a free agent to be added to a team closer to race start.
- Proceeds from the race go to:
- Community Services Consortium - most of the race proceeds will be donated to the CSC, which maintains the Linn-Benton Food Share and the new COVID-19 Rent Relief program. This organization works across Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties to provide people with resources they need to meet their basic needs and improve their lives.
- HOTV Runners - a portion of the race proceeds will support the community work done by the run club. Examples of this include the HOTV Runners Small Grants (where community organizations can request funds to support their programs), organization of community runs (e.g., Fall Festival Run & FREE Resolution Run), and substantial donations to Greenbelt Land Trust and OSU Research Forests (to build/maintain local trails).
- Registration fees include a t-shirt for every participant to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime event.

- Each new week will begin with a Live Social Media event with the race directors.
