ABOUT THE EVENT
After many requests from Northwest athletes, AA Sports is excited to bring Stumptown Multisport back as part of the 2014 Multisport Summer Season. Stumptown Multisport includes Long Course (Half Iron) Triathlon and Endurance Duathlon, three Open Water Swims (0.6-Mile; 1.2-Mile & 2.4-Mile distances), and a Half-Marathon Run/Walk.
2014 Stumptown MedalThe Stumptown Triathlon & Duathlon offer bike courses that are safe, with little traffic. The flat and fast bike course covers three loops on Marine Drive – a beautifully paved road that hugs the majestic Columbia River. Marine Drive will be closed to all but local traffic for the event. This course is void of railroad tracks, potholes, blind or unsafe corners and has very little traffic to contend with, making this an ideal course to set a PR for the 56-mile distance.
