Q1: Is there a course map? A: Please scroll down for course maps.
Q2: Can I run with a stroller? A: Absolutely! We encourage stroller runners to complete the 5K or 10K; the half marathon has trail terrain that will not work well with a stroller.
Q3: Are there finisher medals? A: Yes, for all registered participants. Medals will be given to all participants at the finish line who are wearing a visible race bib. If you lose your race bib on the course, please see the City of Gresham tent after the race to receive your medal. New in 2020, half marathon participants will have a unique finisher's medal.
Q4: Where will race packet pick-ups be? A: Date, times and location: TBD. Participants will be emailed information closer to the event.
Q5: Does the 5K course really go up Walter's Hill? A: Yes! But if this is your first 5K or you are in need of a more mellow course, please take on course 2, which passes Walter's Hill and continues along the flat and scenic Springwater Corridor.

In 2020 we will host TWO 5K routes; 5K A & 5K B:
5K A: This 5K course begins and ends on Main Avenue in front of Gresham High School. This 5K route will head down the heart of Gresham, through Historic Downtown, across Division and Powell into Main City Park. At the Springwater Corridor all participants will take a right on the trail and run/walk to SW Walters Road. At Walters Road, the course will turn left and creep up a spicy hill. Don't worry, you won't be climbing the whole hill, and at the turn around its a nice down hill coast back to the Springwater Trail, Main City Park and then back to Gresham High School. The top male and female finisher of the 5K A course will receive a top finisher prize.
5K B: This 5K course also begins and ends on Main Avenue in front of Gresham High School. This 5K route will head down the heart of Gresham, through Historic Downtown, across Division and Powell into Main City Park. At the Springwater Corridor all participants will take a right on the trail and will continue to run/walk down a scenic, flat and mellow path. You may lose some friends as they take on Walter's Hill, but for the beginners, strollers, and participants that need a more mellow course, you will keep to the Springwater Corridor until you reach your turn around cheerleaders. Then you will head back to Main City Park and back to Main Avenue to return to Gresham High School. The 5K B course top finishers will not receive a prize. If you wish to aim for a top finishing prize, please take on course A!
You can choose which course you wish to take! Both are beautiful, the 5K A course is just a little more challenging with Walter's Hill.
The 10K begins and ends at Gresham High School on Main Avenue. This course runs through our quaint Historic Downtown across Division and Powell to Main City Park. At the park participants will turn right on the Springwater Corridor until they reach Towle Road. At Towle Road, particpants turn left and trek up the hill and left on 19th Court. Participants will cruise through the rustic Saddle Butte area and come out on 15th Ct., veer right on Elliot and then left on Regner. With a short stroll on Regner the 10K course will meet the Springwater Corridor and head left back towards Main City Park and then to Main Avenue to return to Gresham High School.
*This course is subject to change based on weather and trail conditions.
Our half marathon runners are once again in for the most scenic routes in Gresham. Beginning and ending at Gresham High School, runners will cruise down Main Avenue all the way to Main City Park. At the Springwater Corridor, runners will take a right and run all the way to Powell Loop. They will turn around and take a right into the trees to head up the Butler Creek Trail, all the way to Binford Lake Park. At the top, runners will head back down to the Spingwater Cooridor once more and head right towards Towle Road. Runners will turn right up Towle Road. and then left on 19th Court to connect to the Saddle Butte Trail. After a beautiful run through the Saddle Butte area runners will come out on 15th Court, veer right on Elliot and then onto Regner. After a quick trot on Regner, runners will turn right to head east on the Springwater for a few miles. Runners will have a turn around location on the trail and then make their way back to Main City Park, then to Main Avenue and finally back home to Gresham High School for the victory celebration!
