Veterans 5K Family Trail Run/Walk

Time: Race will start at 9am for the 5k and 9:30 for the 10k and the After Race Family Event will start at 11:30am

Location: Keizer Rapids Park 1900 Chemawa Rd N, Keizer, OR 97303

Event Description: Veteran’s & Family 5K Run/Walk 10K Run.

What to expect: Professional chip timing, Awesome T-shirt &Bag, Exercise, Fun, Camaraderie and sense of pride knowing that you are supporting those that served for you. There will be an After Race Family event at 11:30 Random awards available, you must be present to win, also Silent Auction , VA providers table and fun activities for the kids.

Purpose: 100% of all proceeds from the run will go directly to Serving Our Veterans at Home. SOVAH was created for veterans by veterans to help and support those Veterans with barriers that are not consistent with civilian life. Our Soldiers have the most stressful and toughest jobs out there. Those who make it home have scars, and some we can’t see. SOVAH - with the help of community volunteers - breaks those barriers and helps improve their standard of living

Course: - First 2.1 mile will be on trail the rest will be on pave road through West Keizer Neighborhood

Entry Fees: 5K $30 (veterans discount $20) 10K $35 (Veterans discount $25)

It is open to the first 300 people

Package pick up: Please pick up your package on Friday August 15 at the Salem VFW post 661 at 630 Hood St. Salem OR 97301 between 3-6PM or on day of the run at Keizer Rapids Park between 7-7:30am.

Awards ceremony: Award category to 3 male and top 3 female, top male and female youth immediately following each race.
