Miller Wood’s Race to Give A Little

Join us for the first annual Miller Wood’s Race to Give A Little!  This is a 10K trail race that will take place in beautiful Yamhill County at the Miller Woods property located just NW of McMinnville.  This race will benefit both Miller Woods and Give A Little.  Miller Woods provides opportunities for all ages to experience and enjoy the dynamic wonders of nature, and learn about forestry, wildlife, soils, watershed health, native plants, and the role of people in the landscape. Through demonstrations and education programs, Miller Woods strives to instill the knowledge, skills, and awareness which will inspire visitors and members of our community to become more responsible and caring stewards of our natural resources.  To learn more about Miller Woods please visit http://www.yamhillswcd.org/aboutmw.

Give A Little is an independent, grass-roots, nonprofit organization that provides immediate, one-time financial assistance to individuals and families in Yamhill County who are in crisis or experiencing severe adversity.  If you're not familiar with them, please check have a look at www.givealittlefoundation.org.  They are doing some amazing things in the community by giving small grants for things such as car repairs, insurance, rental assistance, and much more.  This past summer they sent at risk youth to summer camps.  All of the funds that they receive stay in Yamhill County and you'll see on the website that 100% of the funds are passed along as our board members pay for all of our administration expenses.
