2.6 Mile Mini-Marathon FunRun/Walk

Race time: Please plan to line up by 11:15, with the race to start promptly at 11:30 am.
2.6 miles (mostly downhill) ONE-WAY fun run along the route of the Monmouth Independence 4th of July Parade. Titled Mini-Marathon because it is a 10th of a full marathon!
Course: Starting the race near Monmouth City Park, and it will end at Main Street in Independence. This event runs along the parade rout,e so expect lots of encouragement/community support along the way! The elevation drop from start to finish is 47 feet.
Race Entry Fees:
Ages 9 and Under: $10 until June 30th
Ages 10 and Up: $20 until June 15, $25 June 16 until July 3rd, $30 day otheay race

Awards
Finishers will receive a medal. Overall winners and age group winners will be announced online following the event. No awards ceremony at the finish line, but ribbons are available for top finishers in each age group. Results will be available at RunSignUp.

No dogs allowed on the course but the exception would be for service dogs.
The time limit to finish is when the parade catches up!
Yes, but please be sure to pay attention to your surroundings while on the course.
We allow others to pick up the "packet" - in our case its just racing bibs.
Packet pick up is at Anytime Fitness Independence (1399 Monmouth St, Independence, OR 97351), 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM on Thursday, and in the alley next to Monmouth Fitness Club on the day of the race, starting at 8:00 AM until 11:15 AM.
Parking is free anywhere you can find it on the city streets. Expect a LOT of people and traffic as the parade is right after this event. Also, it is a one-way race with NO shuttle.
Start line is Monmouth City Park, and the finish line is the Main Street Intersection in Independence
No gear check or place to put personal items.
Water at the halfway point (C Cable Realty) and the finish line.
Bathrooms at Monmouth City Park for the start, and porta-potties at the finish line.
There are finisher medals.
Strollers are allowed.
No bikes or scooters are allowed by participants on the course during the race.
