PCL My Home, My Life Virtual 5K Walk/Run/Move

Despite all the change in the world this unprecedented year, some things have stayed the same.  We all share PCL’s ceaseless devotion to helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities create great lives for themselves.  The virus—and making sure folks stay safe from it—has impacted our ability to gather in community and to raise much-needed funds for My Home, My Life, our program that directly enables the people we support to live in their own homes in the way they desire.

BUT…nothing can stop our passion to make a difference!  That’s why we’re so excited to bring you the PCL My Home, My Life Virtual 5K Walk/Run/Move! For only $30, you get to complete a 3.1-mile distance at your own pace and anywhere you choose. How you complete that distance--walk, run, wheel, walker, skates, scooter, skateboard, bike, rower, treadmill, elliptical, you name it--is also up to you.  You'll boost your own health AND that of the amazing individuals PCL supports!  The distance can be completed any time from November 20th through December 1st.

Sign up NOW and spread the word to family and friends!  This 3.1 miles has no restrictions, so folks in any state/town can sign up and join the fun!  Just think:  your whole family could do it the week of Thanksgiving…or your service club…your coworkers…your neighbors…etc.!  You’ll have a blast cheering each other on virtually, sharing photos and texts, or even doing it in person with proper safety precautions.  Anyone who wants folks to live their best life can participate, and/or you can also sponsor other participants by paying for them (simply enter their information instead of your own when you register).

Each participant receives

·       a high-quality Partnerships in Community Living face covering (adjustable and wired)

·       a metal finisher medal on a neck ribbon

·       a PCL window cling for you to display proudly in your car, business, etc.

·       a participant bib from the website (if you choose to print one--link will be sent to you in your registration confirmation email)

·       the amazing feelings of pride and happiness from this achievement and knowing you made a difference
