Welcome to the 9th Annual Newport Shamrock Run!

🍀 Get Ready to Go Green in 2026! 🍀

Join us for the 9th Annual Newport Shamrock Run, a festive, family-friendly celebration of all things green and coastal. Whether you're chasing a PR or walking with friends, there's a race for you: our scenic Half Marathon, popular 5K, Kids Run, and NEW Half Marathon Walk!

Distances: Half Marathon, Half Marathon Walk, 5K, Kids Run

Half Marathon Walk: 8:30 AM
Half Marathon Run: 9:00 AM
Kids Run: 9:10 AM
5K: 9:30 AM
Awards Ceremony: 10:30 AM

🛣️ Course Overview

🏞️ Half Marathon (Run & Walk)

Start beneath the iconic Yaquina Bay Bridge and experience a stunning coastal-to-forest loop! Both runners and walkers follow a scenic route along the bay, past the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and into the peaceful trails of the Wilder woods.

Combination of road and forested trail
~10 miles of trail between mile 1.5 and 11.6
Rolling hills and a well-marked course
Aid stations every 2–3 miles
Time Limit: 3 hours (run & walk combined)

🏃 5K

This fast and flat out-and-back course runs along the scenic bayfront — ideal for first-timers, walkers, and anyone chasing a PR. Scenic, beginner-friendly, and fun for all!

Fully paved and stroller-friendly
Open to all ages and ability levels

🧒 Kids Run

A flat and fun 1K loop near the start/finish — perfect for kids of all ages and easy for spectators to cheer along. Parents are welcome to run alongside their little leprechauns!
