Celebrate the Elephant Garlic Festival with a half marathon, 10K or 5K run/walk around North Plains and Washington County scenic roads.
SWAG is huge elephant garlic, well-deserved medal and custom-made event Fitsok socks.
Post race experience includes beer/beverage and catered brunch featuring breakfast burritos, pancakes, homemade bread and in-season fruit. Then, just down the block at Jessie May Community Center, explore North Plains' Garlic Festival featuring over 40 art and food vendors, as well as a beer garden and C & W music and dancing.
ORRC members receive $10 off their registration during online preregistration. You'll also have the opportunity to sign up for ORRC membership during the online pre-registration process and receive $10 off your registration. NOTE: no ORRC member discount during day-of-event registration.
7:00 a.m. - Half Marathon (3-hour time limit)
8:00 a.m. - 10K event
8:30 a.m. - 5K event
No early bib pickup. Bibs can also be picked up at ORRC's Garlic Festival registration table/tent, adjacent to start line, on Saturday, Aug 13, starting at 6:15 am.
The 5k loops though south and west North Plains.
The Half Marathon is two beautiful loops, with one hill, around the Pumpkin Ridge Golf Course.
The 10K is an out and back on the half marathon route.
ORRC presents plaques to the top male and female open and +40 yr, +50, +60 year old masters finishers in both running and walking categories for the 5K and 10K as well as for the half marathon female and male open and the three categoriy of masters runner winners .
ORRC also awards ribbons three places deep in five-year age groups for both runners and walkers for the 5K and 10K race events, and to the runners in the half marathon.
Garlic Festival participants receive awesome finisher medals, custom Fits Socks and a huge Elephant Garlic.
Volunteer assisted parking is proximate to the start/finish area, in a field just south NW Cottage Ave, between NW 321st and NW 324st, North Plains. Enter parking lot from NW 324 off Commercial Ave. NW 321 is closed to running event traffic due to timing mats on roadway.
