Sam Day 5K

We have a limited supply of t-shirts available.  Please talk to one of the volunteers at packet pick up to see if we have your size!

The purpose of this first Sam Day Foundation event is to enable our community and beyond to change the statistics, so kids with rare cancers can survive and live well. Funds raised will be donated to research for rare pediatric cancers and experiences so kids with cancer can survive and live well.

Sam had a big, crazy spirit, so the Sam Day 5K will be a fun, positive and inclusive experience that Sam would have loved. June 23rd would have been his 17th birthday and we intend to celebrate him well.

Join us in the fight against rare pediatric cancers!

The 5K run/walk will begin and end at Sunset High School in Cedar Mill, Oregon. As you leave the Sunset High School campus and weave through Sam’s neighborhood, Terra Linda, you’ll be cheered on and encouraged by dozens of spectators, sounds, music and messages along the way. Kids with cancer want to live well and the Sam Day 5K is creating that opportunity and setting the example!

After the race you will enjoy a post run Birthday Bash with music, awards and of course, party favors! The 5K route is on pavement and weaves through closed neighborhood streets and pathways.

 The Kids 1K Fun Run will be held entirely on the High School campus.
