Community Cancer Center

All funds raised are donated to the Community Cancer Center (CCC) located in Roseburg, Oregon.

The Community Cancer Center has been operating for over 30 years and provides an array of services to Douglas County residents.  As a private, non-profit, community-owned and operated facility, with no government funding, the Community Cancer Center runs solely for the benefit of the community.

The Community Cancer Centers objective is to ensure that patients receiving cancer treatment have minimal disruption of their everyday lives.  They offer patients a variety of in-house services designed to accommodate their particular needs.  In addition to the radiation treatment services, they house three private medical oncology (chemotherapy) practices, a laboratory, nutritional, psychological, and social counseling as well as other cancer-related services.  The Community Cancer Center was the first radiation therapy facility in the State of Oregon to receive accreditation from the American College of Radiology.  This accreditation is only awarded to organizations that meet their very high criteria for quality of care and safety and have an on-site inspection by a team of radiation oncologists and medical physicists. Their reports are then reviewed by a panel of experts who can make a recommendation for accreditation. The Community Cancer Center first underwent this review in March 2005, and continues to be reaccredited every three years.

The Run for Ohm committee and Cascade Community Credit Union are excited that Jason Ohm’s name will continue to leave its mark on Douglas County and benefit cancer patients in his home town.
