Description

Midcentury Mile & Cruise-In

The MILE is back!  The mile is THE test of speed and the distance that runners use to measure improvement.  Are you getting faster?

The Midcentury Mile is the only summer Salem mile race. The course is a lap of the State Capitol building, with gentle curves to encourage speed.

Classic cars will be assembling on the Capitol Mall, lining some of the course, and will be available for viewing before the race. After the race, they will embark on a cruise of our great city.  Come check out the cars, enjoy the music, vendors, and midcentury vibe, then test your speed.

The roads do not close often for races in Salem, but they will be for a short time for this exciting celebration of summer.
