FAQs: Operation Mohawk Tactical
What is Mohawk Tactical 2? Mohawk Tactical is a dual-event experience combining the Honor & Remember 5-Miler and the Mohawk Medevac team challenge under one unified event. Participants can run, ruck, or compete as a team carrying a Rescue Randy on a litter, all in support of Veteran & First Responder suicide prevention through 22Mohawks.
Do I have to choose an event or can I do both? You can choose! If you wish to complete both events signup for the Mohawk Extreme Event
Who can Participate? Anyone! This event welcomes Runners, Walkers, Ruckers, Veterans, First Responders, Civilians, Families and Supporters. No prior military or tactical experience is required.
Where does the event take place? The event is held at DCR F. Gilbert Hills State Forest - Foxborough, MA.
Where do I park for the event? Event parking will be at the CCRA- Donald Cotter Recreation Hall located at 68 Mill Street, Foxboro, MA. Parking is a 3 minute walk to the start/finish line.
Are dogs allowed? Yes! Well-Behaved dogs on leashes are welcome.
Can I walk the 5 Miler? Absolutely. Walkers, ruckers and runners are all welcome. The event is about purpose, not pace.
What is the Mohawk Medevac Team Challenge? Teams of 3 cover 4-miles while carrying a 25lb ruck per team member and a 160lbs Rescue Randy on a litter, carried as a group. Teams may rotate carrying positions as needed.
Can I Participate as an individual in the Medevac challenge? Yes! Solo ruckers may complete the 4-mile route carrying a 45lbs ruck with no litter.
Do I need to bring my own ruck or gear? Yes. Participants are responsible for bringing thier own rucksacks/weight, gloves, etc. But, Rescue Randies and Litters will be provided by the event.
Is Fundrasing required? Fundraising is encouraged but not mandatory. Sugested goals are: $350 per individual and $1000 per team. All funds support 22Mohawks' mental health and suicide prevention programs.
Is the course difficult? Both courses use natural terrain with a mix of packed dirt, minor elevation changes, and woodland trails. You do not need to be an expert trail runner.
Is this event timed? Yes. Chip timing is provided by Frontline Running for all events.
