COVID Precautions
We will be adhering to the highest level of COVID-19 precautions as published by the US Centers for Disease Control and our local Santa Cruz County Health Services Agency. Processes will be updated based on local tier levels at the time of event in order to allowas little close contact as possible throughout.
Recipients:
All persons receiving toys must be wearing an approved face covering.
All toy recipients will be asked to remain in their cars with the exception of opening their trunk to receive toys. If you have an automatic opening trunk/liftgate please remain in your car. If you do not have an remote opening trunk/liftgate please open your trunk/liftgate and return to your car as soon as you are directed to the stop area for pickup. Volunteers will close your trunk/liftgate after delivering your toys.
Volunteers:
All volunteers and staff must be wearing an approved face covering at all times (expect while eating or drinking). We have arranged volunteer shifts to enable social distancing and one-way traffic flow while packing and delivering toys. All toys will have been through a quarantine process before handling, and then again before delivery.
Hand sanitizer will be available, as will as gloves. The masks are mandatory and the gloves will be optional and should be sanitized between each task.
Detailed procedures for check-in and handling will be included in your volunteer shift instructions.
If you sign up for a shift and find yourself experiencing any of the following symptoms please stay home!
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
