27th Annual Our House, Our Run

Participant Event Day Details

We can't wait to see you at our NEW location - Pleasant Valley Park, Basking Ridge! 
  •  Our event site and parking are located within Pleasant Valley Park (3405 Valley Road, Basking Ridge). The closest parking is at the end of the park roadway at the far end of the last parking lot (Tobin Heath Field on Google Maps). You will not be able to leave that lot until the 4M run concludes (approx 11:15).
    • Auxiliary park lots will offer a lovely 5-10 minute stroll to the site - plan ahead. We encourage you to carpool!
    • The 3rd/Tennis lot is reserved for players.
    • See Parking & Directions page for more information and a map.
  • Registration is your first stop, starting at 8:15am.
    • Look Up Your Bib # before approaching registration.
    • Shirts are guaranteed to those participants who registered by 4/30. For May registrants, please arrive early for the best shirt selection.
    • We will be accepting new registrations through our website with credit card or by cash/check with paper form ($45)– shirts are limited and while supplies last.
  • 4 Miler: Please see full info further down.
  • 1 Mile Walk: Your beautiful route will take you on woodchip trail, grass, and paved path - please plan accordingly. If you require a fully paved route, please email tears@practicehard.com. We recommend bringing water with you for your walk.
  • Virtual Participants: Your souvenir shirts will be available for pick-up the week of 5/11 at the Our House offices - 76 Floral Avenue, New Providence.
  • We celebrate Rain or Shine!
  • Environmental Notes:
    • While plenty of water will be available on-site, we encourage you to BYOW (bring your own reusable water bottle) and help reduce our single-use plastic waste. A refill station will be available.
    • Recycle your Tyvek bib numbers! If you don't want to keep your bib, drop it off at the BestLife.Events tent. We'll also take old bibs from other events. Please remove safety pins and timing chips!
    • Orange bins are for trash going to the landfill. White bins are for Plastic Bottle Recycling Only. Please drop other recycling at the BestLife.Events tent.
  • HYDRATE! Whether you BYOW or visit our water tables at the refreshments tents or the Finish Line, please make sure you are well hydrated for your run or walk.
  • Accessibility: Our event site is on grass. If this presents an accessibility issue, please email tears@practicehard.com and we will arrange to bring your registration materials to you. There will be 2 ADA-accessible portable restrooms - 1 on pavement and 1 on grass. Please note both of our courses run partially on grass, woodchip, and gravel. We can provide an alternate route for the 1M Walk.

Schedule

  • 8:15am - Check-In & Registration Opens
  • 9:00am - Welcome & 1 Mile Walk Begins
  • 9:00am-11:00am – Activity Tent & Swag Tent Open: Stop by for free arts & crafts, fairy hair, face painting, caricatures and balloon art as well as view Our House swag available for purchase.
  • 9:30am - Everyone's A Winner Race for the Our House Residents & Participants (please cheer them on!)
  • 9:30am - Refreshments Tent Opens
  • 9:50am - Group Walk to 4 Mile Start
  • 10:00am - 4 Mile Run Starts
  • 11:00am - Awards Ceremonies
    • Please cheer on the Our House residents and participants as they receive their medals.
    • 4 Miler Awards will be announced immediately following the Everyone's A Winner Awards Presentation (approximately 11:15am)

4 Miler Info

  • Please wear your bib # on the FRONT of your shirt and do not bend or alter your 4M timing chip located on the back of the bib. Do not trade or swap your number with anyone. If needed, you can ask for help or reassignment at registration.
  • Clocks at each mile & the finish; water will be available several times along the course and at the finish line.
  • Only runners pacing under 6:30 min/mile should toe the start line for safety.
  • No pets, skates, or bikes for safety reasons; baby joggers are unfortunately not allowed on this course due to some varying terrain elements.
  • Instant results will be at BestRace.com/Mobile and full results will be available on both our website and BestRace.com. Look for QR codes around the event site.
  • Your course is through the beautiful paths of Pleasant Valley Park and residential streets. You will see other runners throughout the race, so please be mindful of course signs and volunteer instructions. Maps can be found on our website.
  • After you finish, if returning to the finish zone to cheer or spectate, please be sure to remove your bib or pull off it's timing chip first. This will greatly help to expedite timing results becoming official!
  • USATF-NJ Team Captains: Please be sure to email all 4 email addresses below with your rosters no later than 6pm on Friday 5/8/26. We will appreciate you including members' pre-assigned bib #s.
