We regret to inform you that the 9/11 Heroes Run in Lehigh Valley, scheduled for Sunday, September 27, has been canceled due to the severe weather, flooding, and storms affecting the area. While this is not the outcome we had hoped for, the safety of our participants, volunteers, and community must come first.

Because the in-person race cannot safely take place, all registered participants will be moved to the virtual race format. You will still receive your race swag, including your 2026 9/11 Heroes Run shirt and medal, as well as the rucking division patch, if applicable.

You may pick up your race swag tomorrow. Check your email for pickup info.

Once you receive your race materials, we encourage you to complete your 5K or 1 mile on your own, wherever you are, while continuing to honor the 9/11 first responders and all those who stepped up to serve in the wars that followed. We would love for you to share your race photos with us!

We know this is disappointing, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding. Your support of the 9/11 Heroes Run and our mission to honor and never forget our heroes means so much. Whether you join us virtually or participate in spirit, you are helping keep their legacy alive.

Thank you for standing with us.

The Heroes Run Team
