Brielle's Brigade Warrior Run 5K/Family Fun Walk

ABOUT:

Bring the whole family to the Altoona Curve Stadium on May 11th for a morning of fun and fitness! This event is being coordinated by Brielle’s Brigade and has been organized as a way to raise funds to build an all-access play area as an addition to Acorn Cove at Morrison’s Cove Memorial Park that will be named after Brielle Harmon. Brielle went to Heaven just shy of her 3rd birthday in October 2014 after loosing her battle with Leigh's Disease, a specific form of Mitochondrial Disease. 

What makes this event so special is that participants will be encouraged to run/walk in honor of or in memory of a warrior in their lives; someone special to them that for whatever reason (i.e. illness, disease) may not be able to walk or run. In addition, as part of this event, participants or members of the community who are not interested in running or walking will also be given the opportunity to set up a “Warrior Station” in honor of or memory of someone special to them to raise awareness for a specific illness and/or to simply celebrate a life.

Registration/Packet Pick-Up: 7:30AM

Warrior Run 5K - 8:30am

Family Fun Walk - 9:30am

Kid's Race - 10:00am
