Keystone Games 5K Run/Walk & Esports Challenge (Draft)

We are in this together, and together we will stay active, stay healthy, and stay connected!!!  The Keystone Games and PA Senior Games have partnered with the K.A.R.E.S. (Keystone Athletic, Recreation and Esports) Community to provide virtual opportunities for fitness as a way of staying connected and maintaining or improving your level of physical fitness. The K.A.R.E.S. Community’s focus is on the whole individual’s wellness – physical, mental, emotional and social.  That is why we want to challenge both your body and your mind by launching an Esports component to our event.

The Keystone Games has been providing sporting events for the last 39 years, but this is the first year we are offering a virtual race and are excited at the opportunity to introduce Esports to our athletes.  Every registrant will receive an automatic entry into our Esports challenge!!!  Prizes will be awarded to the top Esports competitors.  Not only can Esports be highly competitive, but they are also a great way to stay connected with friends and family and make new friends along the way! 

We encourage participants to join the K.A.R.E.S. Community as we will be introducing fitness and sports activities through our social media platform at https://www.facebook.com/karescommunity  It's a great way to connect with sport enthusiasts of all ages.

TO JOIN:

• Register for the Keystone Games 5K Run/Walk
• Complete a 5K (3.1 miles) run or walk any time from August 1, 2020 - October 31, 2020.  Simply run or walk any place that works for you.  In your neighborhood, your favorite trail, or even on a treadmill!
• We will send you your official Keystone Games 5K Run/Walk & Esports Challenge T-Shirt and finisher medal (packages will ship beginning October 19, 2020)
  Send us your results on our online form 
• Begin practicing for your Esports Competition Challenge (an email with instructions and selected games for competition will be sent)
• Compete in the Esports Challenge online from October 16, 2020 - October 31, 2020
• Stay active, stay healthy, stay connected and have a great time doing so!!!
