Description

Moore For The Troops is back with the second annual 5K....with some fun changes!!

Our focus for 2025 is Vietnam Veterans and bringing awareness to the impact of Agent Orange. The 5K is being held in memory of John Coverly. He proudly served in the U.S. Army, having voluntarily enlisted and requesting deployment to the Vietnam War, reflecting his deep dedication to his country. John was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal for his service. He peacefully passed away at home on September 27, 2024, surrounded by his family.

5K DETAILS:

This year we are taking the 5K off the track and onto school grounds. We will start and end the run on the track but the 5K will follow a trail around the school which includes some small hills, grassy areas and pavement.

If you prefer to stay on the track for the 5K, that is also an option.

The one mile fun run will remain on the track. 4 laps around the track is equal to 1 mile.

NEW ADDITION - This year we are adding a VIRTUAL option! If you would like to join us but aren't able to attend on April 5, you can still help us deliver our mission by running on your treadmill or favorite trail close to home!

*In person participants will receive a t-shirt and finishers medal

DEADLINE TO SIGN-UP AND RECEIVE A T-SHIRT IS MARCH 9, 2025

REGISTRATION OPENS AT 8:00 AM AND CLOSES AT 9:30 AM

DAY OF EVENT SIGN-UPS ARE: $50 for the 5K and $45 for the 1-Mile Fun Run

VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS - Post your pictures of your run/walk and tag us!! We will randomly pick someone to receive an Amazon gift card!!!

Registration Cost

Registration cost is $45 for the 5K Run/Walk and $40 for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Day of registrations change to $50 for the 5K Run/Walk and $45 for the 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
On the day of the event, only cash and check will be accepted
Registration will open at 8:00 AM the day of the event and will close at 9:30

T-Shirts and Medals

Every LIVE participant who registers on or before March 9 will receive a medal and t-shirt
