We at the Bladder Cancer Advocacy Network are monitoring the spread of the COVID-19, or coronavirus. As a patient-focused organization, we are particularly concerned about the health, safety and welfare of our patients, caregivers, volunteers, industry partners, employees and medical professionals as this virus spreads.
As of this time, we are closely examining the feasibility of hosting Walks to End Bladder Cancer on a city-by-city basis. Where walks are no longer feasible, we are considering alternatives such as postponing, switching to a virtual walk and conducting social media events (i.e., Facebook Live).

Description
The Walks to End Bladder Cancer are BCAN’s signature awareness events and take place in numerous cities throughout the United States, principally in May which is Bladder Cancer Awareness Month. Raising awareness about bladder cancer, the sixth most commonly diagnosed cancer in the US saves lives. Our walks also generate critical funds that enable BCAN to offer educational resources and support programs free of charge, advance research, serve more patients and families, and continue as the leading provider of bladder cancer services and information in the country.
