Description
Out of an abundance of caution and for the protection and safety of our Walk participants and volunteers, the Charter Arts First Annual Arts Walk is being moved to an online-only fundraiser and virtual walk. This modification ensured that our participants are not put at risk of further spread of the COVID-19 virus in a mass gathering situation. This change is also in accordance with the CDC's recommendation of social distancing and avoiding mass gatherings.
We have extended this fundraiser through September 13th. If you didn't get a chance to participate this weekend, now you'll have a chance next weekend to get out and enjoy your local community! Scroll down to learn how to make your donations on behalf of a Charter Arts student so that you can to enter them into a raffle for prizes!
Support the Arts at Charter Arts and get out in your local community! Even if we can't be together, we can still build community and share the art that is all around us. The goal of the First Annual Charter Arts' Arts Walk is to support our top-notch arts programs. Your donation will directly support the dance, instrumental, literary arts, production arts, theatre, visual arts, and vocal music departments! This year, these funds will support projects such as virtual masterclasses and technology for remote learning.
When making your donation, remember to let us know which student you are making your donation on behalf of by entering the student's name (On Behalf Of...). Charter Arts students will be entered into a raffle for top prizes for every $100 earned! Share this page with family and friends - the more donations a student earns, the more chances they have to win prizes! Sign up is free, click the DONATE button at the top of the screen to sign up and make a donation in your student's name.
For everyone $100 donated, Students will be entered in a drawing to win:
- First Prize: Apple AirPods
- Second Prize: $100 Amazon Gift Card
- Third Prize & Fourth Prize: $25 Amazon Gift Cards
Additionally, any registered walker who raises $50.00 or more by September 13, 2020, will receive a 2020 Arts Walk T-shirt!
Prizes and T-shirts will be distributed directly to each walker in late-September. Raffle chances will be awarded to each registered walker who raised $100.00 or more. Due to the extended timeframe, prize winners will be announced on the Charter Arts Facebook Page and Instagram the week of September 21st, 2020. Prizes will be distributed by mail in late September to the respective winners.
Once you sign up, choose where you are going to walk! Stay close to home, or take a journey and visit outdoor public art or local parks. Get ideas for places to go from our Charter Arts social media pages, take pictures, and post your walk on social media with the hashtag #chartswalk. It is our goal to keep our Charter Arts community connected, stronger, and healthier than ever during these uncertain times. Remember to wear your mask & practice physical distancing if you are going to a populated place, and watch our social media for public art locations and suggestions. We appreciate your support.
