Hop Forward Aquathlon

Welcome to the inaugural Hop Forward Aquathlon, presented by French Creek Racing!

This event takes place on the first day of daylight savings time on Sunday afternoon.  It features a 300m serpentine swim, 5K run, and another 300m serpentine swim.  Lawrence Park Swim Club is a 25 meter outdoor pool.  The water is typically heated to 82F, so the event will take place rain or shine.

Course: 300m swim, 5K run, 300m swim.  We'll send swimmers off seeded fastest to slowest.  Generally, we expect less than 50 registrations, so we can maintain a spacing of 10-15 seconds apart between swimmers.  Unlike our Frozen Hare multisport series, this is a live timed race, so transitions will be timed and count toward your overall finish time.

Hop Forward Schedule:
Friday 1/30 at 11:59pm - First price increase
Friday 2/27 at 11:59pm - Second price increase
Friday 3/6 at 11:59pm - Online registration closes.
Sunday 3/8 -- 12:30pm - Race day registration and check in begins
Sunday 3/8 -- 1:30pm - Pool is open for warm up
Sunday 3/8 -- 2:00pm - Time Trial start
Sunday 3/8 -- 3:15pm - Awards presentation
Custom overall and age group awards will be given to the top 3 M/F in each classification - overall and 10 year age increments.

All racers will receive their choice of winter gloves or a Frozen Hare t-shirt (provided entry is received by 2/27, and a custom French Creek Racing award based on their finish place.

REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is strongly advised.  Please arrive by 1:30pm as no traffic will be allowed in and out of the parking lot during the race.

REFUNDS/DEFERRALS: No refunds will be issued. Bib transfers to non-registered people are NOT permitted.
A registered athlete may request a deferral to next year's event or a transfer to another French Creek Racing event if they do so at least 14 days prior to the event. A nominal fee shall apply.
