Description

In September, Armstrong is working to Avenge Hunger by collecting resources to help supply community feeding programs and bring awareness to the need that exists. The COVID-19 pandemic has our community feeding partners experiencing an increased demand for their services and struggling to have enough resources to help those in need. The Avenge Hunger Virtual 5K will provide financial support to community feeding programs in the communities served by Armstrong. You can run, walk, treadmill, or bike from any location you choose. It gives you the freedom to run your own route and the ability to be a part of something special. We encourage you to dress as your favorite superhero and post photos on social media using #AVENGEHUNGER5K. Join in the Avenge Hunger Virtual 5K today!

All participants who register by Monday, September 14 will receive finisher medals by September 30. Those who register after September 14 will receive finisher medals by October 14.

Top Finishers: 

1st Place- $250 in honor of winner will be donated to food bank of their choice

2nd Place- $150 in honor of winner will be donated to food bank of their choice

3rd Place- $75 in honor of winner will be donated to food bank of their choice

***This money will be donated by Armstrong and is in addition to any money raised during this 5K

How to Submit Results

Results can be submitted any time from September 1 - September 30.

3. Click on "Submit Virtual Results"

After submitting your result, download your finisher certificate! 

Bib Number

Don't forget to print off your Race Bib and tag us at #AvengeHunger5k

To access your personalized bib, please log into your RunSignUp account, go to profile, go to the Avenge Hunger 5k and select "View Digital Bib". This will give you the opportunity to print off your personalized bib.

Q. Will there be a local packet pick up option?
A. No, race packets will be mailed! 

Q. Can I still register?
A. Yes! You can register until 9/30/2020 at 11:59 PM. 

Q. How do I download my bib number to share on social media?
A. To access your personalized bib, please log into your RunSignUp account, go to profile, go to the Avenge Hunger Virtual 5k and select "View Pre-Race Bib". This will give you the opportunity to print off your personalized bib.

Q. When does the Avenge Hunger Virtual 5k take place?
A. September 1 - September 30. 

Q. Do I have to register for the event in order to donate?

A. YES! All participants will receive a finisher medal!

Q. Are there shipping charges?
A. No! 

Q. Do I need a GPS watch/tracker, or Strava? Will I need to show my watch or device for proof of running?
A: You can use one if you wish but it's not required. You will be able to submit your result starting September 1.
