Race date is July 4th, 2023! Join us for this TRADITION 39 years in the making before the big JULY 4th parade. A fun and festive atmosphere unique to our race!

JULY 4th, 2023, 7:30 am RACE START- Gates open at 6:15 am
Line up for race will start on the track at 7:10 am for the 7:30 am start time. We will spread out along the track according to corrals (Groups) based on pace for a smoother race experience. Everyone will cross the start in a ROLLING START getting their OWN START TIME (most accurate method of timing). This means (as in the past) a small number of racers (3-4) will cross the pad at once with others close behind. We are making large corrals to help with the flow so there are less participants to pass for a better race experience.
Want to run in a group? No Problem! just use the longest finish time of a member of your group for all people in the group when you register. We want you to be together!!!

Running group will be assigned by runsignup when you register and listed in your confirmation email - labels or lists during bib pick up will also be used to find group designation.
Group A runners could be asked to provide a result to qualify for group A. Please have that ready if needed.
Group A will go first then B,C,D, E & lastly F. Runners first and walkers will go in the final groups.

NOTE - We will be designating the top participants in the fastest running group as they will have special placement within group A. We may request info for verification for the top competitors in the A group to be seeded.
OUR PLAN ULTIMATELY IS we are looking to put racers into approximate areas by finish time so that there are fewer passes or jam up with runners. The ideal set up is to roughly start with people going about the same pace lined up at about the same area. This creates a very smooth race and allows ample room.
Canonsburg, PA Canon Mac Stadium start -Race Course- same as previous year.
2023 Directions for Whiskey Rebellion 5K- 7:30 am start
Cross the start pad on the track in front of bleachers with the press box, exit the stadium through the gate by the large shed, onto Iron Street. turn right and follow Iron Street across the tracks and straight to Pike Street. Make a left onto Pike (this is the traditional rectangle course through town) Follow Pike to Bluff, right onto Bluff Street and right onto college. Follow college to Ashland. right onto Ashland and right onto Pike Street. Follow Pike Street to the light just before St. Patrick’s Church (Hutchinson).
Turn left onto Hutchinson, left onto Murdock and follow Murdock back to Jefferson Ave. (Sarris Library). Right onto Jefferson go past the CM Administration building and turn right into the new entry gate next to Chartiers Creek. Enter the new gate, follow markers onto the track and circle the track clockwise to the finish pad.
COST & REGISTRATION PERIODS
EARLY REGISTRATION $25 - Now through June 16th midnight - T-shirt ordered in your size and cut
LATE REGISTRATION $28 - June 17th - July 2nd until 7:00pm - T shirts not guaranteed size or cut & is based on availability (we will be ordering extra shirts using predictions of sizing limited youth or women's cuts will be available after the 17th)
RACE DAY(July 3rd - 4th) REGISTRATION $30- JULY 3rd 1 am through 7 pm (online) AND July 4th 5am -7am ONLINE OR MOBILE in person @ stadium T-shirt will be given based on what sizes amounts remain. In person assistance for registration availability from 6:30 - 7am - We ask that participants self register and only use in-person assistance if unable to use online option. We can accept cash registration on race day but prefer online payment if possible. We are happy to help you register if needed.
MAIL INS $30- For those who may have trouble registering online and can only do mail in - print form, mail to address on form and postmark by JUNE 16th with payment. If you know someone in this situation please print the registration form for them by clicking on the link below. They can complete form and mail in as postmarked by June 16th
Registration is geared for easy online registration. You can register up until 7 pm on July 3rd online/mobile. Immediately after registering you can pick up your bib at the drive up pick up until 7 pm. (In other words you can register in the parking lot on your phone and get your bib after you get the confirmation email!) You can also choose to register the morning of the race on your way to the stadium or in person too.
Please note for anyone who may have trouble with internet access etc. - our volunteers can assist you in person so that you can register at that time during bib/t-shirt pickup on July 3rd and 4th. We can accommodate online registration on the spot.
There WILL be race day registration ONLINE (computer or mobile self registration) from 5-7 am on race day. Bibs will be available right after you register since number will be assigned by runsignup. Your confirmation email contains bib number (we need that) go to table with bib number. We can look up bib number but it is quicker if you have that info (confirmation email or runsignup profile)
PACKET PICK UP & BIBS
July 3rd (quickest) Walk up or curbside from 5 to 7 pm. Our volunteers will assist you if curbside. The pick up IS NOT INSIDE the Stadium it is in the small parking lot outside the Stadium near Sarris Library. Please be aware the pickup has changed and is now the small parking lot off Jefferson Ave. 1 NORTH JEFFERSON AVE. (small parking lot with a ticket booth)
You can even register on the spot with your cell phone while there and pick up bib as well!
We are encouraging local participants to pick up on July 3rd if possible - If you can ...Please help us out by knowing your assigned bib number from Runsignup for fastest service. Look at confirmation email from registration OR profile in Runsignup for bib number to find your bib number. We will have volunteers that can also assist you as well.
July 4th Race day - Bibs will distributed if not picked up on July 3rd or if you registered on the 4th. Beginning at 6:15 am in the stadium we will have volunteers distributing bibs. It helps make a smoother & quicker process if you know your bib number but we will have self lookup too.
Register early to get your size and cut! T-shirts are distributed July 3rd in drive up pick up or on race day - during bib pickup or after race.
EARLY Registration - Register by JUNE 16th
to receive your shirt on July 3rd OR July 4th. We will have a curbside pick up at the stadium July 3rd. It is encouraged to pick up on the 3rd if you are able to do so at the curbside pick up. If you wait until race day to pick up shirt.
Late Registration JUNE 17th through JULY 3rd
Shirts that are left will be first come first serve basis - some cuts and sizes will not be available. Highly recommended that you register early ( We can earmark a shirt for you WHEN you register early)
At this time there will be no water station along the route - hydrate well before and after the race. Restrooms will be available.
Below is a list of policies for participants -
If you have symptoms of COVID or have been exposed to COVID - please do not attend the race. Masks are optional. Please read any emails for any changes.
Jogging Strollers are permitted. Pets are not permitted on school property and we are not insured for pets participating in our race unless the pet is a service (not support) animal.
Important information for all racers
It is helpful -important to know your BIB NUMBER AND GROUP NUMBER assigned by Runsignup. When you keep this handy it saves us a lot of time. Please note this somewhere. This can be found in your confirmation email OR in your runsignup profile. We will be using the assigned number for your bib and you will need it to sign up for groups, T-shirts etc. Your bib number is sent in the confirmation email from runsignup after you register. Bib numbers/corral can also be found in your "profile" on runsignup ( your account).
POST RACE FOOD/WATER
We will have food and beverage tables with safety measures in mind available along with water bottles for our participants.
