GO THE EXTRA MILE WITH THE Y (Draft)

We at the Carbondale YMCA are determined to keep the community involvement alive with a 5K.   We're trying something new and going virtual.  Now is a better time then ever to stay connected with others via social media.  Unfortunately we can't congregate in large groups currently, but we can still come together as a virtual community and enjoy fun, fitness, charity, and social sharing.   Run by yourself, with a friend, spouse, child, family member or canine companion.  All are welcome to participate!  The Lackawanna Heritage Valley Trail is an ideal location for this event as well as other trails in the area. 

Runners, Walkers, and Joggers are all welcome to participate in this event.  Once you decide where you want to run/walk start your timer and go!  Complete the 5K (3.1 miles) on Saturday, June 20th while observing proper social distancing guidelines.  Send us your results to jwcary@echoes.net.  Prizes will be drawn at random for winners of the race.  Then post your pics of our Facebook page and #CARBONDALEYMILE on Instagram.
