Pancakes and Santa: The 12k’s of Christmas Event!

3. Enjoy a pancake breakfast afterwards – complete with Jolly, Jogging, Old Saint Nick!

1k Kids Fun Run

Let the little ones burn off some energy by running their own 1k race on the premises of Appalachian Running Company(that’s just a little more than ½ mile)

6k (3.7 miles) Fun Run

Put a little extra jingle in your jog and run our 6k course. (a 5k just wasn’t jolly enough)  
Starts and ends at the store.
This course is out on the roads of Chambersburg, so any kids 12 and under need to be accompanied by an adult.

12k's of Christmas

Participants will run the 6k loop plus an additional 6 x 1k loops of the kid's course. The 12k's of Christmas participant will also get an up close and personal view of...

The Flapjack Challenge!

Participants will first run the 6k Fun Run course and then complete six 1k laps of the kid’s course.  At the beginning of each 1k lap, you will eat a “regulation size flapjack.” 

Finishers get a prize and the overall woman, man and relay team will receive Golden Spatula awards and the admiration of every runner and professional pancake eater in the area!

The Flapjack Challenge is open to individuals – OR – you can do a relay team.

Participants are timed and will battle for Flapjack Legend Status and the coveted Golden Spatula Award.

Who will be King or Queen of Carbs?  Come run to find out!

All events are in the spirit of fun with the Flapjack Challenge being "officially timed".  (no chips or bibs)  There will be a clock for those that wish to see their time!
