COVID-19's Effects on the 2020 Clarks Summit Patriot Mile
It is with great disappointment that the National Running Center and the Abington Community Library announce the cancellation of the 2020 Clarks Summit Patriot Mile. Due to the continuing effects of COVID-19 on our community, we found it to be in the best interest of our employees and participants to cancel this year's event.
Just because races are being cancelled doesn't mean you have to stop running! Staying healthy and stress free during this time is as important as ever. Go solo, but get out there! We wish the best to you and your families during this difficult time.
We hope to have the opportunity to bring the Patriot Mile back at some point in the future. Please stay tuned to our website and Facebook page.

Description
Come join us for a wonderful morning at the 2nd Annual Clarks Summit Patriot Mile on Saturday, May 23rd! We'll have a One Mile Run around the streets of Clarks Summit, perfect for running a competitive race or for going for a casual jog.
All profits from the race will go to support the Abington Community Library and its programming.
Race Information:
- The run will begin promptly at 10 am.
- One mile course around the streets of Clarks Summit, beginning and ending at the National Running Center. See below for a course map.
Registration:
- Registration opens on March 1st for $15. The price increases to $20 on May 1st, so act fast!
- First 150 Registrants will receive a free Patriot Mile Water Bottle
- Day of registration will begin at 8:30am at The National Running Center: 318 Davis St. Clarks Summit, PA 18411
- Packet pick up will be held Friday, May 22nd at the National Running Center from 4pm-6pm. Packet pick up will also start at 8:30 am on the morning of the race.
- New for 2020: Register in a group of 3+ and receive $3 off each registration. Great for families wanting to run together!
An awards and after-party will be held after the race!
Awards will be given to age group and overall winners.
