Kids will be able to participate virtually to complete a mile or 5k race! Donations still go to NAMI
Meraki Run Club is hosting a fun kids race for the runners in our community and kids all over (virtually). Meraki Run Club kids learn integrity; doing the right thing even if no one is watching. With a virtual option we are trusting our runners integrity to complete their race to the best of their ability even in no one is watching (but we hope you have a cheering section!). We want our racers to set goals and challenge themselves in this race, while making sure to enjoy the process as well. This is a hybrid race so you can choose to do it in person (location TBD in Downingtown, PA) or virtually on your own time in your own location. We will also be donating a portion of the registration fee to NAMI. We value mental health as much as physical health and would like to contribute to help raise awareness and reduce the stigma.
In person race will take place on August 7th at 9am. Location TBD in Downingtown PA area. Virtual race will take place August 1st-August 21st.
Parents can run with younger runners if needed. Will not be timed or receive shirt or medal.
Registration will include training plans for 1 mile and 5k for youth runners. You will also be sent warm up and workout videos to go with the training plan.
Medal is included. T-shirt guaranteed if registered prior to June 27th, then sizes not guaranteed - for virtual runners it will be mailed to you before event.
