Second Annual Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot 10k, 5k & Kid's Run & walk: Sat. November 25, 2017
The beautiful and festive Market at DelVal will be hosting this one of a kind 10k, 5k, 1/2 Mile Kid's Fun Run and 2 Mile Walk at 8:00 AM on Saturday, November 25th!

**A RUNNER EMAIL WILL BE SENT OUT TO ALL REGISTERED RUNNERS ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17TH AS WELL AS TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 21ST OUTLINING THE DETAILS OF THE RACE AND EVERYTHING THAT YOU WILL NEED TO KNOW ABOUT RACE DAY**
If you did not receive a packet pick up/race day email, please check your spam folder. It it's not there, go to the Scoogie Events Doylestown Jingle Bell Turkey Trot website and view the informational graphics which have ALL of the information that you will need for both packet pick as well as race day! Packet Pick up will be at The Joseph Ambler Inn the on Wednesday, November 22nd. The time for PPU will be from 4-7!

IT IS NOT mandatory that runners pick up their packets at packet pick up on Wednesday BUT it is VERY, VERY advisable to do so as there will be long lines on race day that could add stress to what is going to be a VERY FUN morning...(so let's keep it fun & stress free:-)
Runners may pick up their packets on race morning starting at 6:30, but again, it is advised that they pick them up at packet pick up the day before to avoid lines on race day.

Why are we calling it the Jingle Bell Turkey Trot? Because we have some incredibly happy holiday festivities planned for all of the runners and their families!!
First off.....this is a ground breaking run course that you will have to experience first hand to believe...THE US 202 PARKWAY WILL BE COMPLETELY CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC for the entirety of all three runs!!!
Second....guess who's flying in for the event?
Yes...FLYING IN!!!! SANTA will be arriving by HELICOPTER just after the awards ceremony at 11:00am!
We'll keep everyone warm while we wait for Santa's arrival with family activities and delicious hot chocolate & cookies for ALL registered athletes:-) (with whip cream of course)

Packet Pick up will be at The Joseph Ambler Inn on Wednesday, November 22nd from 4-7pm.
The Joseph Ambler in is located at 1005 Horsham Rd, North Wales, PA 19454.
If you cannot attend PPU at The Joseph Ambler Inn on Wednesday, you can pick up you packet on Saturday at the race start (The Market at DelVal in Doylestown) starting at 6:15 and lasting until 7:20. You CAN pick up your friends packets at both PPU and race day:-)

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE ON PARKING:
THERE IS A 1/2 MILE WALK FROM THE DELVAL UNIVERSITY CAMPUS TO THE MARKET (REGISTRATION).
PLEASE PLAN ON ARRIVING EARLY SO THAT YOU ARE NOT RUSHED. ALSO..DRESS WARMLY!!! THERE WILL BE A BAG CHECK PROVIDED.
THE ADDRESS FOR PARKING IS THE SAME ADDRESS THAT IS FOR THE RACE: 2100 LOWER STATE RD.
THERE WILL BE A RUNNER/SPECTATOR DROP OFF AREA AT ENTRANCE TO THE MARKET'S MAIN PARKING LOT ON FARM VIEW ROAD FROM 6:15-7:15. PULL INTO FARM VIEW RD (OFF OF LOWER STATE RD) TO THE VOLUNTEER WITH THE ORANGE VEST ON. THIS IS WHERE YOU CAN (SHOULD YOU CHOOSE) DROP OFF THE RUNNERS & SPECTATORS. IT IS 25 YARDS FROM REGISTRATION (WHICH IS INSIDE THE MARKET:-)
PARKING WILL BE AT THE DELVAL UNIVERSITY PARKING LOTS WHICH ARE APPROXIMATELY A 1/2 MILE FROM THE REGISTRATION AREA (WHICH IS AT THE MARKET AT DELVAL).
PLEASE ENTER THE MARKET AT DELVAL'S MAIN ENTRANCE WHICH IS FARM VIEW RD OFF OF LOWER STATE RD.
PLEASE FOLLOW SIGNS AND VOLUNTEERS WITH FLASHLIGHTS (BECAUSE IT WILL BE DARK WHEN YOU ARRIVE AT 6:15/6:30 PAST THE MARKET AT DELVAL'S MAIN PARKING LOT...(THIS PARKING LOT IS RESERVED FOR HANDICAP, EMPLOYEE, VOLUNTEER & VENDOR PARKING ONLY).
PROCEED DRIVING STRAIGHT FOLLOWING VOLUNTEERS WITH FLASHLIGHTS AND PARKING SIGNS TO THE DESIGNATED PARKING LOTS WITHIN DELVAL UNIVERSITY.
ONCE YOU PARK YOU CAR, YOU CAN BEGIN TO WALK THE SAME WAY YOU DROVE IN, BACK TO THE MARKET AT DELVAL (WHICH IS WHERE REGISTRATION IS).
VOLUNTEERS WILL BE LINING THE WALK FROM THE PARKING LOTS TO REGISTRATION SO THAT EVERYONE KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE TO GO.
THERE WILL BE SHUTTLES VIA A TRACTOR WITH AN OPEN TRAILER THAT HOLDS 60 PEOPLE. BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT THESE ARE OPEN TRAILERS AND YOU NEED TO DRESS WARMLY SHOULD YOU OPT FOR THIS FORM OF TRANSPORTATION BACK TO THE MARKET AT DELVAL.
PLEASE PLAN ON ARRIVING EARLY (6:15) TO GET TO THE REGISTRATION TENT BETWEEN THE TIMES OF 6:30-7:15.
NO ONE WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER OR PICK UP PACKETS AFTER 7:15 AM

IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT SOMEONE WILL NEED TO BE WITH YOUR KIDS AFTER THEIR FUN RUN TO ESCORT THEM BACK TO THE MARKET AT DELVAL WHICH IS WHERE THERE WILL BE BOUNCE HOUSES SET UP (AS LONG AS THE WEATHER PERMITS) AND HOT CHOCOLATE & COOKIES.
AND THIS IS WHERE THE FINISH LINE WILL BE AS WELL AS WHERE SANTA WILL ARRIVE.
ALSO NOTE: PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT IT MAY BE A BIT OF A WAIT FROM THE END OF THE AWARDS CEREMONY UNTIL SANTA ARRIVES SO PLEASE BRING PLENTY OF WARM CLOTHES. (we will have plenty of hot chocolate & cookies for all registered athletes to help keep you warm)

AWARDS: "You ask for it.....we deliver": From now on, ALL Scoogie events age group awards will be in FIVE YEAR age increments!! Awesome awards for age groups in both the 10k & 5k runs! Awards given for 10K & 5k only, Kids Run is for FUN! Overall winner (male and female), plus top three males and females in each age category: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over. No mailing of awards or shirts.

1. Is there a central location that is easy for meeting up?
ANSWER: YES, MANY CHOOSE THE FINISH LINE (WHICH IS IN FRONT OF THE MARKET AT DELVAL) FOR A MEETING PLACE.
BUT ALSO, NEXT TO THE WHITE TENTS IN FRONT OF THE MARKET AT DEL VAL...LOOK FOR THE YELLOW SCOOGIE EVENTS FEATHER FLAG...WITH IS WHERE YOU CAN SUGGEST TO FAMILY MEMBERS TO MEET.
2. Where exactly will Santa be arriving?
ANSWER: SANTA WILL BE ARRIVING AT 11:00 AM IN FRONT (AND JUST TO THE RIGHT) OF THE MARKET AT DELVAL.
3. Post-race, will we be able to get back and forth from the activities to the parking area?
ANSWER: YES, YOU CAN GO BACK AND FORTH TO YOUR CAR WHICH IS PARKED AT DELVAL UNIVERSITY BUT KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS IS A 1/2 MILE WALK.
4. My friends & relatives will be accompanying me to the race for moral support at the beginning. Is there any area where she'd be able to wait/watch while I run?
ANSWER: SPECTATORS CAN WALK TO THE START LINE (1/4 MILE...5-10 MINUTE WALK) WITH THE RUNNERS (AND ARE ENCOURAGED TO DO SO BECAUSE WE HAVE A SPECIAL TREAT FOR EVERYONE THERE). AND, THE KID'S RUN AT 7:50 IS NOT TO BE MISSED:-) AND THEN, ONCE THE 5K RUNS HAS STARTED, THEY CAN WALK BACK TO THE MARKET WHICH IS WHERE THE FINISH LINE AND ACTIVITIES ARE LOCATED.
NOTE: We do not issue any refunds, transfers or credits for any reason. We have the right to revise or cancel the race due to emergency or weather issue....(but we really hope this doesn't happen:-)
