Firecracker Four Mile Run and Walk

The Greater Valley YMCA, Easton / Phillipsburg Branch, will host the 22^nd Annual Firecracker 4 Mile Run and Walk on July 4, in memory of Spencer H. Smith!

Dress in your red, white, and blue and join us to kick off your July 4 celebration! Your morning will be filled with fun and smiles during this great event for families, as well as competitive runners. Run or walk our beautiful four mile course, beginning and ending at Fairview Park in Palmer Township. Strollers are welcome! The kids will love our FREE Kids Fun Run around the ball field! 

All proceeds from the Firecracker Race support the funding of youth program scholarships.  Our promise at the Y is that no child or family is turned away from our programs due to an inability to pay. In 2019, the Greater Valley YMCA, Easton/Phillipsburg branch awarded more than $274,000 in scholarships for enrollment in the Y’s programs! Thank you for supporting our community!! 

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

6:45 AM - 7:45 AM   Event day registration at the Fairview Park pavilion

8:00 AM     4-Mile Run start, immediately followed by the Walk start. Light snacks and cold water available to race participants at the finish line pavilion immediately following the race!

8:30 AM (APPROXIMATELY)    Award Ceremony

1. Recognition and Awards for "Y's Core Values"  - Children who exemplify RESPONSIBILITY, RESPECT, CARING, HONESTY
2. Medals awarded for First Place Overall male/female runner and walker, and top three male/female times by age group: 8 to 11, 12 to 18, 19 to 24, 25 to 29, 30 to 34, 35 to 39, 40 to 44, 45 to 49, 50 to 54, 55 to 59, 60-69, 70+ (NEW IN 2020: 70+ AGE GROUP)

9:30AM    Fun Run for Kids (ages 3-7) Free. Registration required. Award ceremony for "Best Dressed - Patriotic- Red/White/Blue"  will immediately follow the run.

$10 Registration (ages 8 - 11)              Price will automatically apply when ages are entered into registration form. T-shirt guarantee ENDS on Sunday, June 7, 2020.

$25  Early Registration (ages 12+) for Run and Walk         Early registration and t-shirt guarantee ENDS on Sunday, June 7, 2020. 

$30 Late Registration (ages 12+) for Run and Walk            Late registration dates:  Monday, June 8 - Saturday, July 4, 2020 - NO T-shirt guarantee.

FREE Kids Fun Run (ages 3 - 7)   Registration prior to race day is appreciated. A parent/guardian must be present. T-shirt guarantee ENDS on Sunday, June 7, 2020.
