The Artful Dash has quickly become a wonderful event along the trail that runners and walkers look forward to each October. This summer, our committee thought long and hard about the pros and cons of holding an in-person event, and, in good conscience, we know we could not bring a crowd together so we are going virtual.
However, this isn't just another virtual race. This is an opportunity to support the Karl Stirner Arts Trail and ensure its ongoing success. After all, the Arts Trail provided solace for those of us seeking peace, whether by running, walking, or biking on the KSAT from the early days and throughout the ongoing stress of the pandemic. We are asking for you to support this Trail that may have been a special spot for your family and friends since March. You can support future programming, events, and exhibits by participating in the virtual 5K. The whole of your $20 entrance fee will be donated, 100%, to the trail.
Run or walk the KSAT trail any day from Oct. 11 to Nov. 15, documenting your time through any timing app (Strava, MapMyRun, etc.). Take a screenshot of your time and map (with date included) and a selfie on the Trail and send it to email@example.com or post to Instagram using the hashtag #ArtfulDash2020, tagging @KarlStirnerArtsTrail.
Once you email your time, you will then be entered into a drawing to win one of the prizes from our supporters during a special Zoom event. (Gift certificates to Easton Outdoor Co, Aardvark, OWOWCOW are among the prizes).
If you would like to get involved in the 2021 edition, please contact Lynn Schoof, race chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thank you!
