- Wondering about the crazy race name?!? Last year's first iteration of this race was called FINChaTTR, which stood for First (and hopefully only) Intrasquad National Championship Time Trial Race -- a tongue-in-cheek attempt to drum up enthusiasm when most races were being cancelled due to the pandemic. It was held the same weekend as the scheduled (but cancelled) USA Triathlon Youth & Junior National Championship. The craziness of the name was surpassed only by the day's weather, which featured a tornado warning, heavy rain during the swim and bike, momentary hail, and then bright sunshine by the end of the run. This year's version keeps almost the same name, with the modifications "Second" and "Intersquad".
Hence, SINChaTTR
