VRC Prediction Run - Running Rangers

What: A prediction run to benefit the Running Rangers program of Northwest Area High School.

The concept is simple: the course will be between 2.5 and 3.5 miles and the course map will be revealed at the registration table on race day.  When you check in, you tell us how long you think it will take you to complete the course and whoever submits a predicted time closest to their actual time is the winner!  Prizes and raffles will be announced as we approach race day.

Bring your running shoes, but leave the tech (watches, phones, etc.) behind!

Running Rangers Program:

Our race will raise funds for our inaugural Running Ranger program, a four-week Summer camp that will teach children in our community the virtues of running, including: goal-setting, teamwork, leadership, persistence, and dedication.  Additional financial support will be used to cover the cost of entry of our athletes to clinics, local races, and necessary team gear.  Thank you in advance for your support of the Northwest Area Cross Country runners.

Giveaways:

Garmin is going to donate a Forerunner 55 for whoever comes the closest with their prediction. There will also be a Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins Gift Basket given as a runner up prize.
