PRIDE 5K Run/Walk

The Gettysburg Area Middle School Builders Club is a Kiwanis-sponsored student organization providing members with opportunities to perform service, build character and develop leadership. In partnership with our other Kiwanis-sponsored school clubs, the GHS Key Club and the Lincoln Elementary K-Kids, we will be hosting our first annual PRIDE 5K Run/walk at Gettysburg Area Middle School. At GAMS, we practice the “PRIDE 5 character traits” (Positive attitude, Respect, Integrity, Decision Making, and Empathy) and we thought this would be a perfect name to represent our event. This event will be a fundraiser to raise money for school programs and the Kiwanis ELIMINATE project, which aims to eliminate Maternal and Neonatal Tetanus in countries around the world. The race will start and end at Gettysburg Area Middle School and the course route will run through the Gettysburg National Military Park. The Kids Fun Run will be a 1/2 mile run at Warrior Stadium.
