***Due to the pandemic, we will not be staging race day packet pick up and race day registration in Dunkin' Donuts like previous years. Instead race day packet pick up and registration will be outside by the start/finish area.
General Info: The 5th Annual Grateful Gallop will take place on Thanksgiving Day at 9:00 AM in Grove City, PA. The race starts on Greenwood Drive and travels along the Hunter Farm bike path. The Grateful Gallop 5k supports the Grove City Community Food Pantry! There will be a donation box to collect non-perishable food and toiletries
Window Start: Participants may start any time between 9:00-9:10 AM to allow for maximum social distancing. You start when you're comfortable. The start is chip timed so there is no penalty for starting later. Your time starts when you cross the start line.
Packet Pick Up: Pre-race packet pickup will be at Wise Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine (121 Cranberry Road) from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Tuesday 11/24 and 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Wednesday 11/25. Race day packet pickup at the start/finish area from 7:15-9:00 AM.
Awards: Due to Covid-19, there will be no awards ceremony on race day. A virtual awards ceremony will be posted on YouTube in the week following the event. Awards will be mailed to the Top 5 Overall Male and Female finishers, plus the top 3 in the following age categories: 12 & Under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over. Please allow 2-4 weeks for awards to arrive.
Shirts: In order to be guaranteed a race shirt, you must register on or before Wednesday, November 11th.
Refreshments: prepackaged refreshments provided at the finish.
Course: Flat & Fast. There will be a water station near the halfway point. Men's course record: Jed Christiansen 15:18 (2017). Women's Course Record: Tina Seech 20:50 (2017).
Timing: This race is being chip timed by Wolf Creek Race Management.
Parking: Parking will be available at the Grove City College Colonial Hall lot where the old Middle School used to be.
