Hanover Recreation Spooky Sprint

Join the Hanover Borough Recreation Department to celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 31st for our Spooky Sprint! The race will be 1 mile long and we encourage all runners to wear their best costumes! Awards will be given out to both runners and the best/most creative costumes! There will be no race-day registration and our start/finish lines will be at the same spot (The Hanover Square). The race will be run prior to the Annual Halloween Parade and on the parade route which is paved (Baltimore Street in Hanover). Interested in judging costumes? Please contact us!

Please note if the Halloween Parade is cancelled due to weather that this race will be cancelled as well (No rain date and no refunds will be given).

Registration Details: Online registration only - prices increase on Oct. 11th 2019 and registration closes Oct. 31st.

Parking: Side Streets of the surrounding area and Borough parking lots

Course: Paved and relatively flat. The start line will be in the Hanover Square and head out Baltimore Street towards Penn Township. At the half mile point, runners will be directed to turn around and run back to the start line to finish. Further instructions will be provided on the day of the race. Race Day: Our Registration will open on October 31st at 6:15 PM. We will hand out bibs to each individual who signed up!
