Child Guidance Resource Centers' Empower the Children 5K Run/ Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run benefits our Assessment Programs for underserved children with undiagnosed behavioral healthcare needs. The first step of the mental health journey begins with an evaluation. Every child deserves high-quality, compassionate care. The evaluation process can be overwhelming and scary. Sometimes insurance won't cover all the costs of care. With your help, we can make sure every family gets the opportunity to get the best treatment for their individual needs. You can make a difference in a child’s life!

The 5K Run/Walk begins at Westgate Park andtravels through the beautiful neighborhood of Westgate Hills in Havertown, PA on a certified course! Awards for the top finishers and best Super Hero costume! This will be a rain or shine family fun event with music, food and drinks. Strollers and pets are welcome!
